Strength and Conditioning for Seniors
Mondays and / or Wednesdays at 11am
As we age we need to keep our body mobile and strong. This allows us to perform the activities we enjoy with confidence, aids in fall prevention and makes daily tasks easier. It is recommended that you have some strength / resistance training experience to fully enjoy and participate in this class.
Stretch and Mobility for Seniors
Mondays at 12:15pm
In order to enjoy the activities you love and to perform daily tasks with confidence, it’s important that your joints, ligaments, tendons, and muscles move through a full range of motion. In this class you will focus on improving your range of motion using a combination of exercises and stretches that feel good, improve posture and your well being.
High Intensity Interval Training
Tuesdays at 6pm
This class combines strength and endurance using interval and circuit training. Geared towards intermediate and advanced fitness levels.
Hatha Yoga
Wednesdays at 6pm
Hatha yoga is the most widely practiced form of yoga in North America. It is the branch of yoga that concentrates on physical health and mental well-being using bodily postures and breathing techniques. No yoga experience required.
Yin Yoga
Wednesdays at 7pm and / or Fridays at 6:30pm
Yin is a slower-paced, more meditative version of yoga. The poses are held for a longer period of time (typically 3 minutes) to target the connective tissues rather than focusing on the muscles. No yoga experience required.
