Learn to Run Naturally – for Beginners

This course, taught by Kristy Wood-Giles, will begin on Monday, April 25th at 6pm and will run for 4 weeks. Running will be outdoors on a stone-dust based, flat trail.  The distance covered in each class will be minimal and will be interval style with the purpose to practice techniques with opportunities for rest.

Points we will be covering during the course:

  • – proper technique for less impact on the body
  • – goal setting and running plan preparation
  • – strength building for running muscles 
  • – proper stretching 
  • – breathing techniques to make it easier 
  • – mental motivation and inspiration to do it 
  • – having fun while running! 

Classes will be held in both indoors and outdoor settings so comfortable shoes and layered, weather appropriate clothing is required. Bringing a water bottle is also recommended.

Cost is $129 + HST
